Kalamazoo Teen Entrepreneur Lands Retail Deal with Fresh Thyme
(6/7/2022) Kalamazoo, Mi — Meet Anaya Fernando, the 18-year-old CEO and founder of Sugar Sweet Bath + Body Treats, a local bath and beauty self-care brand. Her company, based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, is expanding its product production in response to a brand-new retail deal with Fresh Thyme.
Anaya’s company is rising to meet increased demand by launching four of its top-selling products into Fresh Thyme this month. On June 19th from 1-4 PM, Anaya will be in-person at the Portage location for the official retail launch of her products into Fresh Thyme and there will also be samples and product demos for customers.
This exciting announcement follows the recently increased support of Anaya’s business by local entrepreneurs, mentors, and community leaders. “I have always dreamt of owning my own business since I was 4-years old,” says Anaya. “My parents have always pushed me to work hard and dream big, regardless of how young I was or how difficult it might be. I hope others see my progress and the work I do with my business as a testament to everything that I have been taught and believe in.”
Anaya’s business has experienced steady growth and has received several accolades since its inception four years ago, as of 2022, the brand has also begun offering its products in bulk for wholesale and private label customers.
“I graduated from Portage Northern High School last week on May 27th and I am so excited about our new partnership with Fresh Thyme. Honestly, on June 19th I really want the community to come out and see what we have to offer, and I also want to encourage other youth to pursue their goals and never give up” says Anaya Fernando, teen CEO + Founder of Sugar Sweet Bath + Body Treats.
